With an academic background in industrial design, I developed my practice in design and furniture before moving towards the material expression of art at Oz Officine Zero. My research focuses on the creative reuse of materials, working primarily with wood through an ongoing dialogue with the material itself and a zero-emissions approach. Beyond its ethical dimension, my central aim is to give the material a voice, enhancing its intrinsic beauty through a process of listening and observation.
Wood becomes a living organism, holding within it the memory of time. Through an ongoing exploration of the relationship between surface and depth, raw material is transformed, revealing grains and knots that tell stories of organic growth and sculptural metamorphosis.
I exhibited at the Festival del Verde e del Paesaggio at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome and created an interactive artwork after winning a European call for proposals for an urban regeneration project in a Rome neighbourhood.
