Maria Teresa Rizzuti is an interdisciplinary artist, but for few years she has devoted herself almost exclusively to engraving.
She attended at the four-year course of Engraving at the Arts and Crafts School San Giacomo in Rome headed by Elisabetta Diamanti.
She uses several techniques among intaglio and relief, particularly she loves linography and drypoint. Her favorite subjects are animals and plants—perhaps due to her degree in Biological Sciences—but she is also drawn to exploring human suffering and distress. She also enjoys depicting landscapes, especially when they serve as a mirror of the soul.
Now she is based in the lab Ubiquity, in Rome.
In the last years several of her works have won exposure in international exhibitions and publication in related catalogs.
After discovering the artist's book, he created one as the final project of his studies and subsequently produced others.
She appears in Incisori italiani contemporanei Repertorio Digitale dell’Incisione Contemporanea in the web-page www.repertoriobagnacavallo.it/incisori/loadcard.do?id_card=287011I.
In 2023 her works have became part of the Raccolta delle stampe Adalberto Sartori and are published on raccoltastampesartori.it/autori/rizzuti-maria-teresa.
