Fabio Ancora
These are complicated times. We all need to respond by pitting beauty and civic engagement against the reactionary attempt to turn back the clock of history.
Data and contact details

Fabio Ancora was born in Lecce in 1966. He has been painting since childhood. In 2002, he took a course in social documentary photography at the Graffiti School of Photography. In 2004, he exhibited photographs taken in the West Bank—alongside other artists—in the group exhibition "The Land of Palestine." Initially hosted at Palazzo Valentini in Rome, the exhibition toured Italy and several European countries before concluding at the Peace Center in Bethlehem. Some of the shots from that project are included in the book of the same name published by Graffiti Press. In 2009, he participated in the Rome Photography Festival, exhibiting work in the "Dimensione Massima 10X12" showcase. Over the years, he has refined his painting and terracotta-working techniques; through this process, he also explored stone carving and other artistic mediums. At the same time, he has continued to cultivate his passion for photography. More recently, while maintaining his photographic practice, he has intensified his painting, experimenting with new forms of expression and utilizing both traditional and innovative materials. In 2025, he has exhibited his recent work at Graffiti Gallery and at Rome's Casa del Popolo Lorenzo Orsetti in Quartaccio district. He lives and works in Rome.
