Fabio Martino was born in Rome and began taking photographs at the age of 13 with a Mamiya NC 1000. From that moment on, photography became his way of interpreting the reality around him. He is a professional photographer, editor, and post-production specialist for a national TV network.
In his work, the transience of the moment is expressed through technical approaches that sometimes reflect the very nature of the mechanical medium—such as
freezing an instant within a single frame; at other times, motion blur and soft focus are captured
during the shot through the artist’s own movements, evoking the nature of memory—like a sense of expanded time or a recollection that, when revisited repeatedly, multiplies its contours. Furthermore, Fabio Martino’s photographic art employs monochrome not only to create drama but also as a novel minimalist approach that pushes figurative imagery to the boundaries
of abstraction.
