Trained in humanistic and artistic studies, as well as painting practice, Sesti assimilates the influences of European abstraction and the Italian tradition. His philosophical and poetic readings nourish an imagery that intertwines pure metaphysics and abstraction with hints of Eastern symbolism, despite never having landed in the land of the rising sun. His attention to the rhythm of color creates suggestions of non-formal forms, hues full of inner emotions that are expressed not only by atavistic emotions but also through almost empirical observation. The echo of listening to matter extends across every type of support such as paper, canvas, plastic and wood, as did the masters of the ancient East.
