Stefania Miccadei is a Roman artist. She graduated in Biological Sciences at "La Sapienza University" of Rome. Afterwards, she has worked as a scientist in oncological field either in Italy and USA. Art has long been her vocation. In her paintings, abstraction becomes both body and emotion. Through textured brushstrokes and swirls of light, the artist constructs and deconstructs faces and figures. Blocks of color meet, collide and transform; consequentely the portrait becomes a fragment and the dance becomes a whirlwind. After working so many years as a scientist in oncological field she might carry a unique perspective of those who have weathered the fragility and strenght of life in her paintings. She has partecipated in group exhibitions in institutional venues and private galleries.
