Ida Risi Rossotti Stampanone is an Italian artist based in Rome. Trained in Set Design at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome, she develops a multidisciplinary practice that spans painting, installation, and performance. Her work explores the relationship between memory, identity, and transformation, investigating the dialogue between the spiritual and the material dimensions.
Her background in scenography has enabled her to translate ideas into tangible environments and immersive experiences, conceiving the artwork as a space to inhabit as well as to observe. Starting from painting and a solid academic foundation, she gradually felt the need to expand her practice through more contemporary and experimental languages. Installation and performance became essential tools in her artistic research, allowing her to reach a deeper and more direct form of expression, one that reflects her personal experience and invites active engagement from the audience.
For Rome Art Week 2026, she will present an immersive installation where memory, light, sound, and collective participation intertwine within an intimate and ritual-like environment. The work unfolds around an open question addressed to the audience: What Is Your Resurrection?
