Artist Bio
Born in 1976 in Velletri, where she still lives and works, she is a painter and installation artist trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. She currently teaches painting at an art high school.
Her work explores the vulnerable, emotional world of the individual, a landscape of wounds that open and slowly heal. Through marks, gestures and carefully layered glazes, her paintings give form to echoes of memory that resurface transformed, sublimated.
Close observation of natural phenomena is, for her, a way of recognizing the evolution that modern individuals now urgently need. Her most recent series, Nuvole – Sturm und Drang, finds in the sky a metaphor for the healing of the soul.
