Bio
Laura Romano is a painter and photographer born in Rome. After graduating from the Alessandro Caravillani Art School, she moved to Padua to study at the Institute of Photography and Visual Arts "I.S.F.A.V." She subsequently studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, where she graduated with honors. In 2020, she founded the art studio "Artificio6," where she organizes artistic events and teaches painting and drawing. An eclectic artist, her skills range from figurative painting to landscape, abstract painting, and photography, expressing her
poetry in multiple forms. Currently, her paintings are characterized by a poetics of immersion and reinterpretation of natural elements through the use of diverse materials such as charcoal, acrylic, and oil paints, which allow her to explore and experiment with different shapes and textures. Artist Paola Ricci writes about her: "Black, the shadows, and the sheen of black are all present in Laura Romano's work. On the white canvas, she employs a stripping of the surface, hinting at a revisitation of the iridescent natural forms of earth and trees, or the waves of rivers on a moonlit night."
