Marina Buening
M. B.works with various media such as printmaking, porcelain. She has a close relationship with nature, and her themes are determined by nature. Parts of dragonflies repeatedly appear in her prints as a symbol of delicacy and the threat to the world.

Marina Buening was born and raised in Northern Germany. After studying economics in Hamburg and also working in this field, she became an artist in her early Thirties. She worked and studied with different art Professors in Germany, Prof. Jan Koblasa, Prof. A Radovani, Katherina Duwe and others. She first exhibited in Germany, later in Denmark, and also in France. In 1998, she came to Italy to live in the North of Rome in the Sabina with her partner. She taught art in Italy at St. Stephen’s school, AUR, and Temple University. Living in Italy, she continued to exhibit in Germany and Italy. To mention a few, she participated twice at the Nord Art in Büdelsdorf, each time with a large installation, and twice at the Kunstverein Buxtehude, also with an installation work. Besides that, she participates in many collectives and has also had various personal exhibitions, including those at the St Stephen’s Cultural Center and the gallery Studio Tiepolo38.  She was selected for the exhibition “oltre I libri” in the Biblioteca Angelica in Rome. She exhibited in the Sala Uno in Rome. Lately exhibitions with the WindmillArtPowerplant in the “Vecchia Vaccaria” in Rome, Faculty show of Temple University Rome.

 In May 2025, she published her first photo book “Dreaming Forward and Backwards”
