At a very young age, he served as editor-in-chief of the magazine *Effeuno* and as a consultant for the automation of post-production, quality control, and printing processes at major Italian film studios, including Cinecittà, Vittori, and Telecolor.
After earning a degree in electrical engineering in 1980, he gained extensive professional experience in the field of applied research. In the 1990s, he was a researcher at ENEA, then at the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA), where his work ranged from early laser applications to the use of remote sensing methodologies for analyzing satellite and aerial imagery, with the aim of characterizing the environment and monitoring the territory. He is the author or co-author of over one hundred publications, including articles in technical and scientific journals and papers presented at national and international conferences.
His photos have been published in various magazines and newspapers, while his visual research—from an anthropological and sociological perspective—has been exhibited on several occasions; for example, in a solo exhibition in Lucca in 2012, as part of the international Comics & Games festival, and in Borgo a Mozzano in Garfagnana in 2015, for the 10th-anniversary Halloween Celebration. The photographs from the project *Anima/L & Core: The Dialectic of a Wild Love* (a photo essay on the emotional bond with pets) were exhibited in 2012 at the LIPU in Ostia (Rome). The solo exhibition *Mirrored Horizons: The Void, the Full, the Body, the Virtual* was held in 2016 at the Vaccheria Nardi Municipal Library in Rome, located at Via Grotta di Gregna 37. He participated in Rome Art Week 2017 as part of Carla Guidi’s project titled *KAIROS 2.0: Investigating Time and Space Between Art, Sociology/Psychology, and Literature* at the Sinopia Gallery, Via dei Banchi Nuovi 21/C, Rome. He participated again in Rome Art Week in 2018, as part of Roberta Melasecca’s project *Go with the Flow* at the St. Stephen’s Cultural Center, Via Aventina 1. His work was included in the exhibition *Tempus fugit Ars manet* at the Scuderie Eastensi in Tivoli, in September 2022.
His works have been included in the following group publications: *Percorsi d’arte in Italia 2016*, a book edited by G. Di Genova and E. Le Pera, published by Rubbettino, and *Panorama dell'Arte Contemporanea in Italia 2019*. *Quintetti d’arte 2020/’21*, edited by Giorgio Di Genova and Carla Guidi (Robin Edizioni, 2021), and *Aspetti dell’arte presente* at Casa dei Carraresi (Treviso) in May 2022.
His photographic research is featured in Anna Bigoni’s poetry collection *Acqua dolce, acqua salata. This latter project was highlighted in a dedicated article in the third volume of Giorgio Di Genova’s essay *Interventi ed erratiche esplorazioni sull’arte. La dialettica del mestiere di un critico* (Gangemi Editore, 2021).
