Eleonora Coloretti — Professional Profile
Eleonora Coloretti is an accredited art expert, Court-Appointed Technical Consultant (CTU) at the Rome Tribunal, and arbitrator for art-related disputes at the International Arbitration Chamber of Rome. Authorized by the Italian Ministry of Culture (MIC) and trained in the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the University of Pisa, she has developed an interdisciplinary professional approach known as the Coloretti Method™, combining technical and scientific expertise, art-historical research, collection advisory services, and rigorous documentary responsibility.
Her work spans art appraisal and authentication, Fine Arts insurance consultancy, art litigation, family collections and estates, as well as technical supervision for exhibitions and museum installations. Over the years, she has collaborated with collectors, institutions, and professionals across Italy and Europe, including an Italian-Belgian foundation, and has participated in major international art events such as BRAFA Art Fair in Brussels and Art Paris.
In 2023, she published Guardare il restauro (Observing Restoration), released by Campisano Editore. The volume explores the methodological value of technical examination in the understanding of artworks and represents a significant milestone in the public development of her professional vision. The book was presented in Rome at Spazio all'Arte – Capitolium Art, with the participation of leading figures in the Italian conservation and restoration field.
In February 2026, her work was acknowledged in Amedeo Modigliani. Catalogue Raisonné of the Oil Paintings, directed by Marc Restellini, one of the most significant and highly anticipated scholarly projects in the field of international art studies.
She is currently working on a second book, based on a real case study, examining the relationship between the art expert and the collector throughout the artwork verification process. Publication is scheduled for 2027.
