Spazio Eughen
Spazio Eughen, a historic artist’s studio in Trastevere, opens to the public with a tactile exhibition and workshop. A path that blends sensory engagement with collective creation, weaving together memory, material, and sustainability.
Data and contact details

My name is Lucilla Floreancig, and I’m writing to introduce you to Spazio Eughen, the historic studio of my father, Eugenio Floreancig, an abstract artist and master of immaterial painting, who recently passed away at the age of 84.

He left behind a remarkable and precious artistic legacy, which I now safeguard with deep love because I grew up with it, and because I know, both as his daughter and as an art historian, how much value it holds.

Not only as a body of pictorial work, but as a testament to a life that was radical, free, and entirely devoted to artistic exploration and expression.

Not only for its pictorial production, but as a testimony of a life that was different, radical, and free.

This place, located in the heart of Trastevere (Vicolo del Bologna 36), safeguarded his constant research for over 70 years, becoming over time a true laboratory of material experimentation, thought, and creative silence.

The walls, the objects, the encrusted brushes, and the books still open on the canvases continue to tell the story of a man who chose to live art as a pure act, free from constraints.

My project is to bring this space back to life, to preserve it, and to let it flourish once again as a place of artistic sharing open to creative projects, workshops, and dialogues with emerging artists.

A space dedicated to those who wish to be part of it, and to the Trastevere neighborhood, which has always embraced art, community, and freedom of expression.
