MAGTRE is an independent space dedicated to contemporary art, with a particular focus on research and experimentation in painting. Located within the Cortile dell’Arte at Via Flaminia 26 in Rome, it has been a meeting place for dialogue and exchange for over a decade, welcoming independent artistic and curatorial projects. Conceived as a project room, MAGTRE hosts and promotes the work of both established and emerging artists, providing a space for experimentation where different languages, practices and artistic visions can meet and interact. MAGTRE is currently managed by artists Marco Affaitati, Roberto Ciangola, Guido D’Angelo, who founded the space, and Antonella Nardi. Over the years, MAGTRE has collaborated with Italian and international artists, as well as with art academies, public and private associations, and cultural institutions. These collaborations have helped establish MAGTRE as an independent space open to dialogue and to the exchange of ideas, experiences and new perspectives on contemporary painting.
