Basile Contemporary is a contemporary art gallery founded in Rome in 2021 by Rosa Basile, an art professional with over fifteen years of experience in the field. Established with the aim of creating a space where art and culture can be shared with both intellectual rigour and a sense of lightness, the gallery serves as a place for encounters, dialogue and discovery.
Located on Via di Parione, in the heart of Rome’s historic centre, just steps away from Piazza Navona, the Chiostro del Bramante and the Church of San Luigi dei Francesi, Basile Contemporary draws inspiration from its unique setting, where history and contemporary culture naturally intersect.
Rosa Basile’s vision is rooted in the desire to bring artists and audiences closer together, creating opportunities for meaningful exchanges that communicate the emotions, ideas and inspirations behind each work of art.
The gallery’s exhibition programme focuses on contemporary Italian and international artists while remaining open to dialogue with established historical artistic traditions. This approach reflects the belief that, despite the breaks introduced by different artistic movements, art is an ongoing process of transformation in which past and present remain deeply interconnected.
Basile Contemporary thus seeks to highlight the continuity of artistic exploration through a cultural programme that combines contemporary perspectives, historical awareness and a commitment to direct engagement with the public.
