Perennially poised between imagination and reality, fantasy and living testimony, the artist's works take us to a world of dreams, to places far from chaos and crowds, yet tangible. The images take us back in time, to the dreams of his childhood, where nature has preserved intact all its beauty and mystery, traveling along paths along which mysterious presences can be felt, there hovers an atmosphere that only the most sensitive can grasp and recognize as a warning, a proof, a signal for the coming generations. People who approach the nature reproduced in the works of Maria Ludovica Pennacchia, with acute sensitivity and a sincere desire to be part of it will perhaps enjoy the privilege of coming into contact with a world that is hidden to most and yet does not live only in fairy talesI would like to begin this brief journey by telling you what making art means to me. My painting is a dialogue between reality and fantasy, between the tangible and the intangible. It is a bridge that connects dreams to memories, allowing me to explore territories that do not exist and yet are profoundly real.
But why do I make art?
The answer is simple: because it is the most authentic way I communicate. Through my works I try to give form to what is ineffable, to tell stories that belong not only to me, but also to the viewer. Every brushstroke, every shade of color is a fragment of myself, but also a mirror for the viewer.
My poetics is nourished by contrasts: the dream that mixes with memory, the real that meets the imaginary. I try to create worlds where the viewer can lose himself and find himself again, worlds where emotion is at the center, rather than rational understandingI want to invite the viewer of my works to stop, to reflect, but above all to feel. To remember one's forgotten dreams or emotions left undone. Art, for me, is an open space, where everyone can bring their own meaning.
Ultimately, making art is my way of staying human in an increasingly hectic world. It is my act of resistance against superficiality, my attempt to find beauty even where there seems to be none.
Thank you for your attention and for allowing me to share a little piece of my world with you.
