Antonella Albani
Roman photographer and performer
Data and contact details

Antonella Albani was born in 1972 in Rome, where she lives and works. After graduating from high school with a degree in Applied Arts, specializing in Artistic Photography and Advertising Graphics, and a year's experience at the European Institute of Design, she graduated in History of Modern Art from La Sapienza University, with a thesis on Raphael's legacy in Western painting (and the work of his best student, Giulio Romano), thus refining her humanistic skills and passion for the figurative arts. She has been working as an artist in photography for years and has participated in various events and solo and group photography exhibitions.

Her photographs recount the expectation of something that will never happen; the actions of her characters are actually suspended: they are often immobile, frozen. Her photography is tinged with metaphysics and at times ironic surrealism, often revealing a sense of solitude, particularly that of the female figure.
