Collezione Concreta – A Creative Studio and Ceramic Workshop in the Heart of Trastevere
Right in the lively heart of Trastevere, overlooking the charming Piazza San Cosimato, you’ll find Collezione Concreta—a creative studio and ceramic workshop founded by interior architect Laura Fusar Poli and industrial designer Daniela Di Lascio. Since 12 December 2021, this space has been a place where ceramics spark conversations between people, ideas, and different forms of art.
The name Collezione Concreta speaks to the blend of material and concept at the core of the project—a meeting point for creativity in all its forms. Over time, it has grown into a space for exploration and experimentation, hosting exhibitions, installations, hands-on workshops, and collaborative projects.
The studio has welcomed many creative voices along the way, including artist Simona Di Lascio, sculptor Michele Golia, photographer Maria Grazia Modesti, the design collective demidesign for the project Pillole d’interni and La Casa delle Donne for the exhibition Le forme dell’attesa (The Shapes of Waiting).
Workshops are a big part of what happens at Collezione Concreta, offering a wide range of activities like ceramics, sculpture, sgraffito, fresco painting, egg tempera, and ikebana—the Japanese art of floral arrangement. One of the most heartfelt events is Solstizio d’estate (Summer Solstice), a multisensory, participatory project that invites people to experience art as something shared and lived together.
As part of Rome Art Week, Collezione Concreta is opening its doors once again—welcoming visitors into a space where art is hands-on, collaborative, and part of everyday life. It’s an invitation to explore the beauty of ceramics, and to be inspired by a studio where creativity is always in motion.
