Photographer and multidisciplinary artist.
She likes to experiment mixing different media and techniques, contaminating them too. She feels constrained by labels and she strongly relates to Virginia Woolf’s words: “I am not one and simple but complex and many”.
Her art is both conceptual and intuitive, it speaks a symbolic language and aims to connect with the observer on a non-rational plane, leaving room for the encounter with their own perception.
Women, systemic violence and time are the main interlacing threads she uses in her art practice to look into relationships.
Thus delving into the complexity of humankind and rejecting simplification.
As a photographer she collaborated with many institutions in Rome, while working on sets and backstages for cinema productions and teaching in high schools.
Her short movies have been screened and awarded prizes at international film festivals in Italy and Ireland.
She is co-author and set photographer of a documentary on Marcel Duchamp commissioned by the Italian National Modern Art Gallery to celebrate the centenary of the first Ready made by the artist (Bicycle wheel, 1913)
She was also backstage photographer for the installation of related exhibition Duchamp
re-made in Italy curated by S. Cecchetto, G. Coltelli, M. Cossu (GNAM 2014-2015).
She has exhibited different medium artworks in many venues across Europe and Asia, as well as being featured in various photobooks and magazines.
She had a public work of sculpture commissioned by the Municipality of Rome to be installed permanently in a park, as part of a project against gender discrimination.
She had two solo shows in Italy (photo, 2022) and Ireland (painting) and in the summer 2025 she was resident artist at W.A.S. Gallery, Ballydehob, Ireland.
